Our Services

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists understand how the body moves and works, and we’re here to help people of all ages feel and move better. Whether it’s reducing pain, improving mobility, or supporting recovery after injury, our goal is to help you live a healthier, more active life. Using a mix of hands-on techniques and tailored exercises, we’ll guide you every step of the way. With our knowledge, skills, and care, you can feel confident that you’re in good hands as we help you get back to feeling your best.

Sports Physiotherapy

Whether you love staying active on the weekends or compete at a professional level, the team at Base Physio + Pilates is here to support your goals and guide you safely back to sport. We take the time to understand the cause of your injury and design a personalised plan to help you recover and perform at your best. With our knowledge of the skills and demands of your sport, we’ll help you return with confidence. We also believe prevention is just as important as recovery, which is why we provide thorough assessments and tailored strategies to lower your risk of future injuries.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists have experience supporting people’s health at every stage of life, including pregnancy through to postnatal recovery and beyond. Many people seek help for pelvic floor concerns such as bladder or bowel incontinence, bladder urgency, prolapse, pelvic pain, or conditions like endometriosis. While these issues are common, they are not something you need to simply live with—there are effective and affordable treatments that can help you feel more comfortable and in control. We also offer antenatal and postnatal Clinical Pilates, with exercises carefully designed to be pelvic floor–safe and to support your body during pregnancy and recovery.

Clinical Pilates/Exercise

COMING SOON

Clinical Pilates combines Pilates principles with functional movement exercises to create a program designed just for you. Whether your goal is recovery from injury, managing pain, or building strength and flexibility, your program will be tailored to your needs. Unlike general studio Pilates, Clinical Pilates targets specific concerns—like a sore knee or stiff back—while focusing on safe, controlled movements to improve strength, mobility, and balance, and to help prevent future injuries.

At Base Physio + Pilates, we offer personalised 1:1 sessions as well as small group classes with a maximum of 3 participants. Health fund rebates are available.

Group Pilates

COMING SOON

Our group Pilates classes include both Mat and Reformer sessions, designed to strengthen and condition your whole body while focusing on form and technique. The Reformer uses a spring-loaded carriage and adjustable resistance to add variety and challenge to your workout, making it a great way to build strength, control, and flexibility in a safe and supportive environment.

We offer different class styles to match your goals—Base Burn for strength, Base Sweat for endurance and cardio, and Base Length for stretch and mobility. These classes are best suited for people without specific injuries.

If you’re unsure whether they’re right for you, please reach out to us at hello@basephysioandpilates.com and we’ll be happy to guide you.

Dry Needling

Our physiotherapists are trained in dry needling, a technique that can support your recovery by easing muscle tightness, reducing pain, and promoting healing. Sometimes called “clinical” or “western acupuncture,” it involves placing fine needles into soft tissue to restore normal function. While not a replacement for other treatments, dry needling works well alongside physiotherapy to speed up pain relief and recovery. It’s a safe and increasingly popular option to help you feel and move better.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Exercise rehabilitation plays a key role in building strength, improving mobility, and reducing pain—helping you get back to feeling and moving better. In some cases, exercise can even lower the chance of needing surgery, and if surgery is required, it can speed up your recovery and improve your results. Our physiotherapists provide personalised rehab programs for a wide range of conditions, including joint replacements, spinal and shoulder surgeries, ACL and meniscus repairs, and more—supporting you every step of the way.

It’s time to build your base.
